Welcome to Spain.
Since the weirdest thing always happen to me, I will tell you my experience with the dentist in Spain.
I started with looking for information online about the dental clinics in Barcelona, about the pricing, and the difference with Italy, and about the quality of the service. I came to the conclusion that it wasn't that different from home, so I convinced myself.
When I opened a bank account, I asked the employee for more information about dentists, dental clinics, etc., and he advised me to open, together with the bank account, a dental insurance with the bank (Sabadell) for 7.5 euros per month which would have allowed me to get discounts and price reductions on several services. I put some pieces together, I sent an email and I opened a insurance policy. The day after I went to the closest branch and I made an appointment for the day after.
So, this is the way my path with the dentist in Barcelona started. I went to the first appointment, and they advised me about what to do. A second appointment, where they took me all the dental records. Two appointments more where they fix cavities. Then I did a cleaning (free with the insurance), then they realized they didn't take all the dental records. Since the braces I need to put are coming from Germany and take around a month to be projected and to arrive, they postponed the date when to put them.
I should have put the braces on January, the 9th..Well, it's February, the 19th, and I still haven't seen anything.
Welcome to Spain.
