Barcelona: Nights out
We have been told that one of the best nights in Barcelona is Thursday night in Bling Bling, where you can enter for free before 2am.
We left around 1,15 am and we made to Bling Bling at a quarter to 2. They asked us for the list, and my answer has been: "shit". We completely forgot to sign up to a list. Without it, it's 15 euros, that we didn't want to pay for a random Thursday night.
So we went to Costa Breve, in the parallel street, where we go every Thursday. Even there, we have been asked for the list, which, of course, we didn't have. "Girls, if it was a different day we would let you in, but today there's the boss right here". Double failure. Maybe this night was not meant to be.
We started to walk, discouraged, towards our place and we passed the Oak, a place that seemed pretty interesting. We asked a guy outside if we needed a list, how much it was to get in, etcetera. We had been lucky: he was a good one: he's one of the organizers of the party, and said that if we wanted to have a tour to see how it was, if we liked it, we could then get in and pay (8 euros with a beer and two chupitos).
We went in "to have the free tour" and he began to introduce us to random people, he asked us if we wanted anything to drink, he introduced us to two salsa teachers, that immediately took us to dance. They thaught us the basic steps, since neither me nor Benny had ever done salsa before.
The night, in the end, completely turned. The place was quite a sight: everyone was having fun, laughing and, above all, dancing. And even us, we spent a night we would have never imagined.
