In Olanda è pieno di
tulipani. Stereotipo o realtà?
Qui sono a metà tra le
due, nel senso…sì, gli olandesi amano i loro tulipani, tant’è che c’è persino
un National Tulip Day che si festeggia a gennaio ogni anno ad Amsterdam. Poi ci
sono un sacco di posti in Olanda dove puoi andare a vedere i tulipani, ma a
meno che non vai appositamente in quei posti, di tulipani in giro non ce ne
sono tanti. Fatemi sapere nei commenti se siete interessati a scoprire dove
potete andare a vedere dei meravigliosi tulipani!
In Olanda piove sempre.
Stereotipo o realtà?
Sfortunatamente (per me),
è verissimo. Scrivo questo articolo il 4 di Luglio (felice giorno
dell’indipendenza miei cari Stati Uniti) e fuori piove. Così come ieri,
settimana scorsa, il mese scorso, 6 mesi fa ed un anno fa. Non è che mi sia
scritta esattamente le date e le condizioni meteo in quei giorni, ma onestamente
qui piove sempre comunque!
Gli olandesi indossano
gli zoccoli. Stereotipo o realtà?
Un po’ stereotipo e un
po’ realtà. Nel senso che non vedrete persone andare in giro con gli zoccoli in città o
all’università, ma a quanto pare (secondo Roy, il mio ragazzo olandese) ci sono
ancora delle persone nelle fattorie che li indossano.

The Netherlands is full of tulips.
Stereotype or reality?
Here I’m between the two, I mean…yes, Dutch
people really love their tulips, so much that there is even a National Tulip
Day that is celebrated in January every year in Amsterdam. There are also a lot
of spots in the Netherlands where you can go to see the tulips, but unless you
go to those places specifically for the flowers, you won’t see many around the
country.
It always rains in the Netherlands.
Stereotype or reality?
Unfortunately (for me), it’s really true.
I’m writing this article on the 4th of July (happy Independence Day
my dear United States) and it’s raining outside. Just like yesterday, last
week, last month, 6 months ago and a year ago. It’s not like I wrote down every
date and weather conditions in those days, but honestly it always rains here
anyway!
Dutch people wear wooden clogs. Stereotype
or reality?
A little stereotype, a little reality. In
the sense that you won’t see people going around with wooden clogs in cities or
universities, but it seems that (according to Roy, my Dutch boyfriend) there
are still people in farms that wear them.
